Upcoming Training & Events
Our local office provides Pre-Service Flex Trainings (new volunteer training) four times per year. We utilize the National CASA training module, tailored to North Carolina. This training consists of a combination of in-person training, on-line work, and court observation to give you a solid foundation to begin your work as a GAL Advocate. Currently, we are offering all training virtually due to COVID-19.
Additional training is provided various times throughout the year for GAL Volunteers to continue to learn about topics specific to their cases or in general. Currently, both new and in-service training are offered virtually due to COVID-19.

The Forsyth County GAL program is currently representing 250 children and has 112 active volunteers serving as advocates for children. We are always in need of
additional volunteers. Please consider completing the application to become a GAL. We would love to have the opportunity to meet with you and tell you more about what it means to be a GAL and the kind of impact you can have on a child’s life.

We also host Appreciation Events to bring our GAL’s together to say thank you to the GAL Volunteers themselves, and their families, for sharing them with us.
